Newton Shingle Style

Project Overview

This new house is a 6,500sf shingled residence sitting graciously on a wooded lot in Newton. It has simple, clean lines, and contemporary interior details that include a stair tower, an extensive window package, bronze decorative brackets, and detailed millwork. The residence has five bedrooms, six baths, and two studies.

Hear from the Owner

“Quality building and honesty are the foundation of any great owner/builder relationship. GF Rhode has mastered both. They were a true partner in the process, helping us make informed decisions and avoid costly mistakes. Though there were places where we had to trim the budget, they never reduced their quality of craftsmanship or pride in the job. We love our house.”

Hear from the Builder

“Without being slaves to tradition, we built this house with a traditional shingle house exterior in mind, but with some modifications pointing the way toward the open and clean interior. The weekly job meetings were productive and enjoyable, maintaining an owner/architect/builder team feeling that continued through to a happy result for all parties.”
